Job Description: The Head of Youth and Community Services will provide leadership, management and oversight across YMCA Brunel Group''s youth and community services, including 10 Youth Clubs (supporting young people aged 10-19 years old, and up to 25 with special educational needs), and 2 Young Carers groups. The role will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, quality, performance and development of services, enabling positive outcomes for children, young people and communities, across the Mendip and South Somerset area. The postholder will lead a team of approximately 33 permanent and relief staff, and line manage Youth Work Team Leaders, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with organisational policies, safeguarding requirements and funding obligations. The postholder will play a key role in shaping local responses to the needs of young people and communities, bringing partners together to influence priorities, develop collaborative solutions and improve outcomes across the Mendip and South Somerset area The role will enhance the impact, sustainability and quality of youth and community services, strengthen partnership working and support the delivery of YMCA Brunel Group''s charitable objectives.
