A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Family to lead and develop its family team in Wiltshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Family Solicitor or Partner who is looking for a leadership role within a successful regional practice, where quality of work and client relationships are genuinely valued.

The firm has built an excellent reputation across the region and benefits from a loyal and established client base. The successful candidate will inherit a strong platform from which to develop the department further, with the opportunity to shape the future direction of the family practice.

The role will involve a broad range of privately funded family work, with some publicly funded matters also forming part of the caseload. You will deal with a quality client base and have the opportunity to handle a varied and interesting caseload, including divorce and financial matters, private children work and associated family disputes.

The Candidate

The firm is looking for an experienced Family Solicitor, Legal Director or Partner who is confident handling their own caseload and has the ability to lead and develop a team.

You will ideally have:

Strong experience across private family matters.

Experience of publicly funded family work would be advantageous.

The ability to lead, mentor and develop a family team.

Excellent technical and client care skills.

Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

A genuine interest in developing the department and its profile within Wiltshire.

A commercial and pragmatic approach to client service.

The role would suit someone who enjoys the leadership side of family law but still wants to remain hands-on with high-quality client work.
