Cafe Linea occupies a stunning
Grade II listed building in Chelsea *, with 72 indoor covers and 60 terrace seats overlooking a picturesque green. Open from breakfast through dinner, Café Linea is a destination for pastries and coffee in the morning, wine in the afternoon, substantial meals, or spritzes and small plates in the evening.The Role
As Assistant Restaurant Manager at Cafe Linea, you will work closely with the General Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You will act as a mentor and leader on the floor, supporting the team, driving service excellence, and contributing to the success of this exciting new opening. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a senior management position as the brand expands.Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Support
Support the General Manager in running daily operations, ensuring smooth service across all shifts.
Lead by example on the floor, motivating and coaching the team during service.
Assist in recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff.
Provide regular coaching and feedback, helping the team achieve consistent service standards.
Step up to act as Duty Manager in the absence of the General Manager.
Guest Experience
Deliver outstanding guest service, ensuring all guests feel welcome and valued.
Anticipate and respond to guest needs and feedback with professionalism.
Build strong relationships with regular guests and create memorable experiences.
Uphold service standards and ensure all team members deliver a seamless guest journey.
Operational Support
Assist with scheduling and rota management to ensure appropriate staff coverage.
Monitor and support stock control, supplier orders, and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
Help coordinate and oversee private events, ensuring they meet Café Lineas standards.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
Conduct floor checks to ensure service readiness, cleanliness, and presentation.
Contribute ideas for improving guest experience, team efficiency, and service delivery.
Stay up to date with hospitality trends and share insights with the management team.
