Year 1 Teaching Assistant - Bolton BL1

Location: Bolton, BL1
Hours: Monday-Thursday, mornings only
Contract: Part-time, long-term opportunity

Empowering Learning are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Bolton (BL1).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a TA who is looking for part-time work and enjoys supporting younger pupils during the important transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.

Working alongside the Year 1 class teacher, you will provide classroom support throughout the morning, helping pupils engage with their learning and develop their confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with daily classroom activities and learning tasks.

• Providing additional assistance to children who require extra support.

• Helping deliver phonics, literacy and numeracy activities.

• Supporting pupils'' social and emotional development.

• Assisting with classroom routines and maintaining a positive learning environment.

• Working collaboratively with the class teacher to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

The school is looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working within a primary school, ideally in EYFS or KS1.

• Has a good understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics.

• Is patient, nurturing and enthusiastic.

• Can support pupils of varying abilities.

• Is reliable and able to commit to Monday-Thursday mornings.

• Part-time working hours, Monday-Thursday mornings.

• A welcoming primary school in Bolton BL1.
