Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Support A new opportunity for a new position has recently become available in an amazing school in Oxford.This is a fantastic, supportive school who focus on inclusivity and want to ensure that they are providing They cater for students between the ages of 7 and 18, who have all been identified as struggling with social, emotional and mental health needs. The students at this school also have barriers to their learning such as specific learning needs, ADHD ad behavioural needs. They need support to ensure that they are able to access their education and learning in the same way as their mainstream peers. The school are looking for someone who can help with the below: Create a safe, fun and engaging learning environmentEncourage students to participate, focus on and engage in their learningFollow their intervention plans while also making use of any restorative practices and therapeutic techniques that have been adopted to ensure a positive experience at schoolPromote healthy coping strategies and support conflict resolutionSupport in tracking and relaying feedback to the class teacher and other multi-disciplinary professionals that support the students The ideal mental health support assistant will be someone who is: PassionateHas a positive attitudeIs keen to make a difference and support vulnerable studentsHas a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding when working with vulnerable childrenHas a genuine passion for supporting
