Duties for the role of Senior Town Planner:

• Managing a varied caseload of planning applications and development projects.
• Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.
• Providing strategic planning advice to clients, developers and landowners.
• Managing planning applications, appeals and pre-application submissions.
• Assessing development proposals against local and national planning policies.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, local authorities and external consultants.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Supporting junior planners and contributing to the wider team''s development.
• Identifying opportunities to develop new client relationships and contribute to business growth.

Requirements for the role of Senior Town Planner:

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership.
• Previous experience working within a planning consultancy or local authority.
• A strong understanding of the UK planning system, legislation and planning policy.
• Experience managing planning applications, appeals and development projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A confident and personable approach to client relationship management.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
