Strategic Procurement Manager

-500 per day | Outside IR35 | Hybrid Working - Surrey | 6-Month+ Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join a major public sector procurement partnership, supporting multiple local authorities across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior procurement professional to lead high-value, strategic procurement projects, drive commercial efficiencies and influence senior stakeholders across a complex, multi-partner environment.

• Develop and deliver strategic procurement plans across major spend categories (Health & Social Care, Assets &Infrastructure and Corporate & Business

• Lead complex, high-value procurement projects, including contracts worth -50m100m.

• Work closely with senior stakeholders, directors and partner organisations to deliver commercial objectives.

• Identify opportunities to improve value for money, efficiency and service delivery.

• Lead tendering and contract management activity, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and regulations.

• Drive social value through procurement initiatives.

• Lead, coach and develop a small team of procurement professionals.

• Deliver innovative procurement strategies and collaborative projects across partner councils.

• Significant senior-level procurement management experience.

• CIPS Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.

• Strong experience in strategic procurement and category management.

• Good understanding of Public Procurement Regulations and relevant legislation.

• Experience leading complex, high-value procurement projects and managing budgets.

• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.

• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams.

• Knowledge of project management, change management and continuous improvement.

• Rate: -500 per day

• IR35: Outside IR35

• Duration: Initial 6 months, with potential for extension

• Location: Surrey

• Working Pattern: Hybrid
