Youth Worker to Student Mentor Secondary Education Location: Blackpool, Lancashire (FY postcode area) Salary: £102.83 - £110 per day (Weekly Pay) Contract: Full-Time, Permanent and Long-term options Start Date: February 2026 Trade the Youth Centre for the Classroom Are you a Youth Worker in Blackpool looking for a more structured career path? Do you have a knack for connecting with "hard-to-reach" teenagers? We are looking for dedicated individuals from a youth work, sports coaching, or community outreach background to join our Secondary School Pastoral Teams. You will use your unique ability to build trust and rapport to help students overcome barriers to learning and stay engaged in education. Your Transferable Skills in Action In this role, you aren''t just "covering a class" you are a relatable role model. Your experience translates directly to the school day: Relationship Building: Use your "youth work heart" to connect with students who struggle with traditional authority. De-escalation: Apply your training in managing challenging behaviors to keep the classroom calm and productive. Mentoring: Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions for students facing social or emotional hurdles. Advocacy: Act as the bridge between students, teachers, and parents to ensure every child is heard. The Role Requirements Experience: At least 12 months working with young people (aged 11-16) in youth clubs, detached youth work, residential care, or sports leadership. Communication:
