Aftersales Support Engineer
The company is an established and leading manufacturer of safety hardware and solutions to various industries such as defence, rail, automotive and marine.They are seeking to recruit a Technical Engineer for their operations in the Redditch area.Salary - circa 40k - 45k per annum.Hours of work are; Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm.Benefits include, private medical insurance, employee discounts, staff social events, free parking.The main responsibility of the role is to provide technical assistance and support to customers after the product has been despatched. To provide technical troubleshooting along with investigation of product on return ensuring customer satisfaction and needs are met.Responsibilities and duties are as follows;Provide timely and effective technical support to customers.Diagnose and resolve technical issues via problem solving, recommend and investigate solutions and preventative measures, perform repairs.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions.Close collaboration with quality and engineering teams- to resolve complex issues and implementation of preventative measures.Manage warranty claims and ensure timely resolution.Communicate proactively with clients in a timely manner.Manage spare parts inventory.Ensure compliance with quality standards.On site support on client premises when required.Experience and qualifications for the role are as follows;A strong technical engineering background required.
