We are recruiting for a commercially capable Quantity Surveyor to join our client, an established and growing Mechanical Contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS who is confident taking commercial ownership of projects and is comfortable working with contracts, purchase orders, suppliers and subcontractors. We''re looking for someone who can protect the commercial interests of the business while maintaining strong, practical relationships with clients and the supply chain.The RoleWorking closely with the project and management teams, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from initial procurement through to final account.A key part of the role will be reviewing, negotiating and agreeing contracts, purchase orders and supplier/subcontractor terms, identifying commercial risks before commitments are made and ensuring appropriate contractual protections are in place.Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing and negotiating client contracts and purchase orders, highlighting commercial risks, onerous clauses and contractual obligations.Reviewing, negotiating and agreeing supplier and subcontractor terms and conditions.Supporting the business with contract administration and commercial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.Preparing and managing subcontractor enquiries, comparisons, appointments and orders.Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow.Preparing and submitting applications for payment, valuations and ..... full job details .....
