Estimating Quantity Surveyor Job Overview We are seeking an Estimating Quantity Surveyor to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects. The role will involve assessing labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs, supporting tender strategy and managing financial information to help secure commercially viable projects. The successful candidate will work closely with estimating, business development, design, operations and commercial teams, with opportunities to take a leading role in larger tenders. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans and breakdowns covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors. Assist with subcontractor selection by preparing tender documentation and analysing quotations. Follow the agreed tender strategy and ensure submissions meet project and commercial requirements. Review drawings, specifications and project information, distributing relevant documentation to internal teams. Organise internal tender review meetings to assess costs, scope, risks and outstanding information. Issue enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors, obtaining competitive pricing and confirming return dates. Meet with suppliers and subcontractors to clarify project requirements, specifications and proposed solutions.
