These term-time roles offer a range of working hours and are ideal for individuals who have experience supporting children with special educational needs, behavioural challenges or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.The Role As a Behaviour and SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviours and build confidence and independence. Support pupils with SEN, SEMH needs and behavioural challenges in the classroom and in small groups. Assist teachers with classroom activities and individual learning support. Encourage positive behaviour, social development and engagement in learning. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies.
