A brand-new 3-bed residential children''s home in Sale is looking for motivated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join the team.
You don''t need previous childcare experience. You don''t need an NVQ.
What matters is that you are passionate about working with young people, willing to learn, and genuinely want to build a career within residential childcare.
About the Role
You will be supporting children and young people living in a specialist EBD environment, helping them feel safe, supported and able to develop.
The home takes a trauma-informed approach, using approaches including:
* Trauma-informed practice
* Attachment theory
* PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy)
* NVR (Non-Violent Resistance) strategies
* Positive and consistent behaviour support
You will work as part of a close-knit team, building positive relationships with young people and helping them achieve their individual goals and outcomes
Your Responsibilities
* Providing day-to-day care, support and guidance to young people
* Building trusting and positive relationships
* Supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs
* Helping young people develop independence and life skills
* Supporting education, activities and positive experiences
* Following individual care plans and risk assessments
* Responding calmly and appropriately to challenging situations
* Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation
* Promoting safeguarding and the wellbeing of young people
* Working closely with colleagues, management and other professionals
* Contributing to a safe, stable and nurturing home environment
What We''re Looking For
This role is about attitude, motivation and potential.
You do not need:
* An NVQ/Level 3 qualification
* Previous residential childcare experience
* Previous experience working in children''s services
You do need:
* A genuine desire to work with children and young people
* The motivation to learn and develop
* A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
* The ability to remain calm under pressure
* Good communication skills
* A willingness to learn trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
* A full UK driving licence

Training & Development
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to progress within the sector.
You will receive a fully funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, alongside ongoing training and development.
You''ll also benefit from supportive management and a strong Senior Leadership Team, with the opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career as the service grows.
Working Pattern
2 on, 4 off
The shift pattern consists of:
* 2 day shifts
* 1 sleep-in during the working pattern
Pay: -13.0014.50 per hour DOE
Sleep-ins: Additional payment provided
