A brand-new 3-bed residential children''s home in Sale is looking for a dedicated Waking Night Residential Support Worker to join the team.
This is an opportunity to join a new service from the beginning and play an important role in creating a safe, stable and supportive environment for young people.
The Role
Working as part of the night team, you will be responsible for supporting the young people throughout the night, ensuring they are safe, settled and appropriately supported.
The home follows a trauma-informed approach, drawing on:
* Attachment theory
* PACE
* NVR strategies
* Positive and consistent behaviour support
You will need to be confident working independently overnight while knowing when to escalate concerns to management and follow agreed procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing support and reassurance to young people throughout the night
* Maintaining a safe and secure environment
* Responding appropriately to any concerns or incidents
* Supporting young people who may wake during the night
* Following individual care plans and risk assessments
* Completing accurate night-time records and handovers
* Carrying out agreed checks and routines
* Supporting safeguarding and wellbeing
* Maintaining a calm and nurturing environment
* Communicating effectively with the day team and management
* Following the home''s policies, procedures and therapeutic approaches
About You
An NVQ/Level 3 qualification is not essential, although it would be desirable.
Previous experience working with children or young people is also desirable, particularly within residential childcare, care, education or another relevant support environment.

Training & Development
You''ll be joining a supportive management structure with a strong Senior Leadership Team behind the service.
There is also the opportunity to undertake a fully funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, making this a strong opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within children''s residential care.
