People who enjoy getting things done.We’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join our Energy team working on the UK Power Networks (UKPN) contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in quality management and utilities, particularly with knowledge of HV systems and substation construction. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the contract.Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirementsDrafting and coordinating Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and quality assurance check sheetsManaging Health and Safety Files and As-Built documentation throughout the project lifecycleLeading and contributing to both client and internal quality and compliance meetingsCoordinating the quality aspects of HV systems and substation construction, including electrical, civils, and utilities elementsChairing workshops and supporting the Construction Management Team with quality-related mattersProducing weekly and monthly reports on quality performance for internal and external stakeholdersManaging the Non-Conformance process and overseeing timely close-out and implementation of lessons learnedProviding training, guidance, and support to ensure consistent quality standards are upheld across the teamLine managing a team of Quality Inspectors and promoting best practice across all quality activitiesWe would love to hear from you if…You have previous experience in a Quality Manager role, ideally within the utilities or construction sectors, and are confident in carrying out inspections, audits, and managing the full quality lifecycle of complex projects. Your knowledge of HV systems, substation construction, and quality standards like SROH and NRSWA will be essential in this role.You are proactive, methodical, and capable of influencing and guiding teams to meet high quality and compliance standards. A relevant vocational qualification in construction, quality, or a related field is required, and any certifications in quality auditing or health and safety are highly desirable.
