An established and growing building services contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join its project delivery team based in Reading, Operating across a range of technically challenging environments, the company delivers mechanical building services packages within sectors including commercial fit-out, healthcare, life sciences and specialist refurbishment projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to take ownership of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical building services projects from inception through to handover.
• Take responsibility for programme delivery, project milestones and client expectations.
• Coordinate design development and technical submissions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Procure and manage specialist subcontractors, suppliers and site labour.
• Monitor project costs, variations, valuations and commercial performance.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety requirements and company standards.
• Chair and attend project progress meetings with clients and consultants.
• Oversee commissioning activities, testing procedures and project handovers.
• Produce regular project reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience delivering mechanical building services projects.
• Previous experience working for an M&E, Building Services or Mechanical Contractor.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across design, commercial and operational teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project budgets.
• Experience managing projects within commercial, healthcare, life sciences, laboratory or specialist environments would be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
