Hays Education are working in partnership with a Specialist SEND School who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with a diagnosis of FASD, ADHD, and a history of early trauma. This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in supporting the pupil''s emotional development and engagement in school life.

The pupil is described as a delightful individual who benefits from a calm, consistent, and empathetic approach, alongside clear and firm boundaries to help them feel safe and understood.

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: Up to -120/day

Contract: Temporary until end of academic year

What You''ll Be Doing

• Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
• Supporting the pupil with emotional regulation and behaviour
• Building a strong, trusting relationship
• Helping the pupil access learning in a way that meets their individual needs

What We''re Looking For

• Experience working within a KS2 setting
• A strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH and trauma-informed approaches
• A patient, resilient, and adaptable attitude
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to provide a consistent and nurturing presence
• Relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent experience

Please Note: Due to the rural location, a full driving license & own transport is essential.
