Sewell Wallis is currently working with a fast-paced South Yorkshire retail business that is now looking for a Transactional Finance Officer to join their finance team in North Sheffield. You''ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, taking ownership of transactional finance, while also having the chance to be involved in month-end processes and financial reporting. What will you be doing? You''ll be providing day-to-day support across a broad range of transactional finance duties, including: Performing daily reconciliations of company bank accounts Processing supplier invoices and credit notes, matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received, and maintaining an accurate purchase ledger. Obtaining and reconciling monthly supplier statements, investigating disputed invoices and liaising with suppliers to resolve queries. Reviewing and monitoring purchase orders and setting up new supplier accounts, ensuring bank details are verified in line with company procedures. Reviewing credit card expenditure and ensuring expenses are correctly coded and supported by the appropriate documentation.
