Employer description:A boutique, multi-asset class hedge fund is looking to take on an apprentice as a "Hedge Fund Data Analyst." This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, rapidly growing firm and play a key role in shaping its data infrastructure and reporting capabilities. Reporting directly to the COO, this is a broad and hands-on role where you gain exposure to a wide range of datasets, including fund data, performance data, investment data, compliance data, and operations data.About the role:Although the firm uses high-end enterprise technology solutions, many teams still rely on Excel spreadsheets and manual processes. The successful apprentice will help automate and streamline these processes using advanced Excel, Power BI, and ideally coding/ Macros, with a focus on reducing manual updates and improving data accuracy.You will work with processes used by multiple teams across the business. You must be technical, data-driven, and confident handling datasets.The role also includes a strong emphasis on data visualisation and management information (MI) reporting. You may produce reporting and dashboards for Fund Managers, the COO, Compliance, Operations, external investors and prospective clients.
