The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual support to multiple pupils within the school across KS2.
• Supporting learning activities and helping the pupils access the curriculum.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement in the classroom.
• Adapting support to meet the pupil''s individual learning and developmental needs.
• Working collaboratively with the class teacher and other school staff.
• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Supporting the pupil''s social development and interactions with peers.
• Carrying out Midday Supervisor duties from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, supervising pupils during lunchtime and playtime.
• Promoting pupil safety, well being and positive behaviour throughout the school day.

Previous experience working in a school, as a Teaching Assistant or providing 1:1 support is essential for this role.
