Learning Support AssistantWestminster, Central LondonSEND experience essentialLong-term contractFree CPD and constant support with interviewingEmpowering Learning are currently working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Westminster who are looking for a learning support assistant to work across their two Additional Resource Provision (ARP) classrooms, which support pupils with a range of needs including SEMH, ASD and SLCN. You will work flexibly across both classes, supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, and at whole-class level depending on need and the timetable. This role will be an ASAP start on a full-time basis until July 2026, with the view of continuing into the next academic year.The school are looking for someone with strong, direct SEMH experience in specialist settings (e.g., PRUs/alternative provision/specialist SEMH settings), who is confident with regulation support, de-escalation, and proactive SEMH strategies, and who is looking for long-term work. Team Teach/positive handling training (or equivalent) would be ideal. The school are looking for someone who can work as part of a team as well as using their own initiative, someone who is proactive and shows willingness, and who has strong communication skills with both children and staff.
