The OpportunityA leading financial consultancy is seeking a Data Analyst to join a high-profile finance data programme. This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL expertise and a solid understanding of financial services data who enjoys investigating complex datasets, improving data quality and working closely with business and technology stakeholders. Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse and reconcile large finance datasets using SQL.Investigate and resolve data quality issues across multiple systems.Define business rules, data mappings and acceptance criteria.Support testing, validation and release activities.Produce clear analysis and reporting for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Work closely with finance, risk, data and technology teams. RequirementsStrong SQL skills including joins, aggregations, CTEs and performance optimisation.Experience working with financial services data.Data reconciliation and data quality experience.Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker is beneficial.Knowledge of BigQuery, data governance or Python would be advantageous.
