Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in Key Stage 2?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a popular primary school in the Ramsbottom area of Bury to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant.

Set within a close-knit community, the school places importance on developing well-rounded pupils, encouraging positive relationships and providing a stimulating curriculum. The successful candidate will join a supportive team that is passionate about helping children achieve their potential as they progress towards secondary education.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with older primary pupils and can provide effective support across the curriculum.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning within Years 3-6.

• Delivering targeted support to individuals and small groups.

• Reinforcing key concepts in English and mathematics.

• Supporting reading comprehension, spelling and writing development.

• Helping pupils prepare for assessments and classroom activities.

• Supporting children who may need additional guidance to access lessons.

• Encouraging independence, resilience and positive learning habits.

• Working closely with the class teacher to monitor pupil progress.

What we''re looking for:

• Previous experience working with children of primary age.

• Confidence supporting upper primary literacy and numeracy.

• A good understanding of classroom expectations and behaviour management.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A positive, proactive and encouraging attitude.

• The ability to adapt support to suit individual pupils.
