SEMH Teaching Assistant
Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a primary school setting.The school is seeking a strong role model who can build positive relationships with children who may display social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis Helping children regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively Supporting classroom learning and engagement Assisting with routines, structure, and behaviour strategies Building trusting and consistent relationships with pupils Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staffThe Successful Candidate Will: Have recent experience working within a UK primary school Have experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs Be calm, patient, and resilient under pressure Have excellent behaviour management skills Be passionate about supporting vulnerable pupils Be able to adapt to the individual needs of childrenWhy Join Aspire People?
