We''re working with a private-equity backed business that''s going through an exciting period of growth and change. They operate within a broad industrial and services environment and are investing heavily in better data, stronger reporting and smarter decision-making. As part of that journey, they''re looking for a Management Accountant who enjoys working at pace, getting under the skin of the numbers, and helping a business move forward.This isn''t a "tick-the-box month-end" role - you''ll still own the core management accounting, but you''ll also spend a lot of time digging into data, spotting trends and using SQL to make sense of complex information. You''ll work closely with operational and commercial teams, helping bring clarity to the numbers and supporting decisions on pricing, performance and investment.What you''ll be doing • Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts • Looking after cost centre reporting, performance analysis and variances • Supporting forecasting and budgeting cycles • Pulling and analysing data using SQL (a big part of the role) • Building repeatable, automated reporting where possible • Working with stakeholders to understand what''s driving margins, utilisation and efficiency • Helping shape KPIs and dashboards that actually reflect what''s happening in the business • Supporting operational and commercial decision-making with clear, practical insightWhat they''re looking for • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or part-qualified • Good grounding
