Overview

The Senior Accountant uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the accounting discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the accounting discipline. The Senior Accountant solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Accountant impacts a range of customers, operational, project, or service activities with the accounting team and other related teams and ensures that they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies.Responsibilities

Take ownership of annual audits and review statutory financial statements across multiple legal entities and branches.Prepare annual financial statements and financial reporting packages for submission to auditors and group finance.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to finalize audit deliverables and respond to auditor queries.Ensure timely submission of financial reports to local authorities and group consolidation teams.Prepare Transfer Pricing documentation for UK entities.Provide tax calculation files and supporting schedules for monthly and annual tax provisioning. Financial Controls and ReconciliationLiaise with Auditors, management, and internal stakeholders to coordinate statutory reporting timelines and requirements.Respond to ad hoc and complex finance queries from group finance, auditors, and external advisors.Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:Qualified CIMA, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant (Passed all exams in the first attempt)Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExcellent organizational skills and pay attention to detailEffective in a dynamic environment, adapting to and managing change positively and proactively.Capable of establishing effective working relationships that promote teamwork and collaborationEffective interaction with financial reporting, regulatory reporting, internal auditors, and external auditors.Ability to remain positive, professional, calm, and focused when faced with challenging situations.Computer literate in Microsoft programs: Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel.Ability to work independently.About Us
