Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Principal Quality Inspector specialising in paint inspection to support submarine solutions in Birkenhead. This contract role involves maintaining rigorous quality standards across onsite inspection activities and ensuring work complies with relevant specifications and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Inspecting paint application, surface preparation and protective coating activitiesVerifying that completed work meets approved drawings, specifications and quality standardsIdentifying defects, non-conformances and areas requiring corrective actionPreparing accurate inspection reports and maintaining quality documentationWorking closely with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve inspection findingsSupporting continuous improvement and promoting a strong quality culture across the siteEnsuring inspection activities are completed safely and in accordance with relevant defence and industry requirementsJob Requirements:Significant experience in quality inspection within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or defence environmentStrong knowledge of paint inspection, surface preparation and protective coating processesUnderstanding of quality assurance procedures, non-conformance management and corrective actionsAbility to interpret technical specifications, drawings and inspection criteriaExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality controlStrong ..... full job details .....
