Konnect are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the completion phase of a school extension and refurbishment project in Wantage, Oxfordshire. This role is ideal for a hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in education-sector projects, and ideally a tier 1 background. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day site operations through to project completion Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring works are delivered on programme Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations, site policies, and safeguarding requirements Coordinate with the project team, client representatives, and school staff Maintain high standards of quality control and site presentation Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings Manage RAMS, permits, and site documentation Report progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager Ensure works are completed with minimal disruption to the school environment Essential Requirements: Proven experience delivering school builds, extensions, or refurbishments Strong knowledge of working within live school environments Gold CSCS card (or above) SMSTS First Aid at Work DBS check (preferred) Ability to provide recent, relevant references If you are interested please send a CV to Lucy using the contact information provided.
