SEND Teaching Assistant - KS1 Support
SEND Teaching Assistant - KS1 Support (Autism and Additional Needs) Aspire People are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils within KS1 , working across a classroom where there are a number of children with Autism (ASC) and additional learning needs .This is a varied role where you will work closely with the class teacher to support multiple pupils, with a mix of in-class support, small group work, and occasional 1:1 support where required . The Role: Supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs within a KS1 classroom Working with small groups to support learning and engagement Providing occasional 1:1 support for pupils who need extra guidance Using structured approaches such as visual timetables and routine-based learning Supporting transitions, focus, and emotional regulation Assisting the class teacher with adapting activities to meet different needs The Ideal Candidate: Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism Patient, consistent, and nurturing approach Able to support a range of needs within a busy classroom environment Good understanding of routines and structured support strategies Strong teamwork and communication skills Why Work with Aspire People: Long-term opportunities within supportive schools Competitive daily pay rates Access to SEND-focused training and CPD Dedicated consultant supportThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a classroom while still making a meaningful impact
