Autism Support Teaching Assistant - M16Long-Term Opportunity Primary SettingAspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Autism Support Teaching Assistant to support pupils within primary schools in the M16 area of Manchester.This long-term position is ideal for a committed individual who has a strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised support that enables pupils to reach their full potential both academically and socially.Autism Support Teaching Assistant -The RoleAs an Autism Support Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide focused 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills Use structured approaches, including visual timetables and sensory strategies Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent support and progress Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentAutism Support Teaching Assistant -The Ideal CandidateTo be considered for this role, you should have: Experience supporting children with Autism, ideally within a school setting A strong understanding of ASD and effective classroom-based strategies A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)Autism
