We are recruiting for a Senior Healthcare Assistant (Days) to join an exceptional, stand-alone nursing and residential care home on the outskirts of Winchester, Hampshire. With the relaxed ambience of a country house hotel and the close-knit feel that only an independent home can offer, this is a service where your voice is heard and your contribution genuinely matters.

This is more than a standard senior care role. You will:

• Be a key senior presence in a stand-alone, independently operated home
• Work closely with management who are visible and approachable
• Lead and support care staff with confidence and compassion
• Deliver truly person-centred care in a calm, well-resourced environment
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families

Without the structure of a large corporate group, decisions are made locally, communication is open, and good ideas are welcomed.

This purpose-built care home provides both residential and nursing care for older people in a setting designed for comfort, dignity and wellbeing.

• Lead and guide the care team during day shifts
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care
• Administer medication (training provided if required)
• Maintain accurate care documentation
• Ensure residents’ safety, comfort and wellbeing
• Provide emotional support and reassurance
• Act as the senior member of staff on duty
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a senior care role
• Medication training (desirable)
• Confident leadership skills
• A calm, positive and professional approach
• A genuine passion for supporting older people
• £13.15 - £14.30 per hour
