Our client is a charity and research organisation seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a 6 month fixed-term contract.

Based in London with three days a week in the office, this role offers up to -50,000 and is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on a mission-driven organisation.

You''ll work closely with non-finance stakeholders across the organisation, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that help them make better decisions.

Responsibilities

• Project costing and financial analysis that directly supports the charity''s research and delivery teams
• Bridge the gap between finance and operations, making financial data accessible and meaningful to non-specialists
• Supporting annual budget-setting, multi-year forecasting, and financial modeling for research projects and departmental units
• Delivering accurate, timely monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI tracking

• Experience in project costing, budgeting, or financial analysis
• Proven ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance audiences
• Organised, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent finance qualification
• Previous experience in a business partner or similar advisory finance role
• Knowledge of charity accounting standards or experience in the research sector
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and data
