Civils Design CRE - Lineside Civils & Level Crossings

Location: York or Doncaster (Hybrid)
Office Attendance: Minimum 3 days per week
Contract: 6-month initial contract, rolling thereafter
Maximum Day Rate: £450 all-in
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civils Design CRE with a strong background in railway lineside civils and level crossing projects. The successful candidate must have experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor, rather than solely for Network Rail or a consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
·Undertake and support Civils Design CRE duties across railway lineside civils and level crossing schemes.
·Review, coordinate and assure civils design deliverables in line with applicable railway standards and project requirements.
·Work closely with design teams, construction teams, project engineers and stakeholders to ensure designs are suitable for construction.
·Ensure design outputs meet required technical, quality and safety standards.
·Support design reviews, technical queries and resolution of engineering issues.
·Coordinate design interfaces and maintain appropriate design assurance records.
·Support timely delivery of design packages and safe project execution.

Essential Requirements
·Proven experience in a Civils Design CRE role within the rail industry.
·Strong technical background in lineside civils and level crossings.
·Demonstrable experience of design assurance and relevant railway engineering processes.
·Evidence of signed F040s must be available.
·A full CPD log must be available to support the nomination and approval process.
·Strong communication, technical review and stakeholder management skills.
