Our client, a respected children''s residential care provider, has two Deputy Manager vacancies across its emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) homes in Waltham Abbey, Epping Forest. You''ll support the Registered Manager to lead a stable, nurturing home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs, often with histories of trauma. The role Deputise for the Registered Manager and take the lead on shift Lead, supervise and develop the staff team, including rotas, supervisions and appraisals Promote positive behaviour support and trauma-informed practice Oversee care plans, risk assessments, incident reporting and safeguarding Keep the home compliant with the Children''s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, and support Ofsted and Regulation 44 visits Work with social workers, schools, CAMHS and families About you Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), essential; Level 5 or working towards it desirable At least 2 years'' experience in children''s EBD residential care, including at a senior or supervisory level Confident managing challenging behaviour and leading a team through it calmly Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements Full UK driving licence preferred Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain).
