Technical Architect Salary: up to £75,000 Clearance: BPSS We are looking for a Technical Architect to shape the architecture of shared components that support app-based user journeys and digital credentials. You will guide engineering teams, take designs through technical governance, and work across several government departments and cloud platforms. What you will do Advise on the technical architecture of common components supporting app-native journeys and digital credentials. Guide the team through technical design authority and governance forums. Advise on DevOps tooling best practice and review its implementation with engineers. Work across multiple tech stacks, including AWS, GCP and Azure. Deliver at scale in a multi-department environment. Produce architecture artefacts such as high-level designs, low-level designs and tech stack definitions. Work within strategic and enterprise architecture constraints, engaging the wider architecture community when the team needs to move outside them. What you will bring Proven experience as a Technical or Solution Architect on large-scale digital services. Hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure), with exposure to the others. Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD and modern engineering tooling.
