Are you an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in residential highways and drainage design? This is an opportunity to take ownership of civils design projects within an established consultancy, with the support and progression opportunities of a growing engineering group.

REFA Consulting Engineers is looking for a Senior Civils Design Engineer to lead the delivery of residential development infrastructure projects from initial site appraisal through to technical approval.

The Role

• Lead highways and drainage design for residential developments, including external levels and plot drainage.

• Take ownership of site appraisals, drainage feasibility and design development through to final approval.

• Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.

• Manage Section 38 and Section 104 submissions and approval processes.

• Liaise with Lead Local Flood Authorities in England and SABs in Wales.

• Prepare and check technical drawings, calculations and reports, providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

• Contribute to feasibility studies, risk assessments and option appraisals.

About You

• At least five years'' design office experience in civil engineering.

• Able to complete civils designs independently.

• Experience of site appraisals and drainage feasibility studies.

• Knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments and technical approval processes.

• Strong working knowledge of Section 38 and Section 104 submissions.

• Experience liaising with LLFAs and SABs.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Causeway PDS and Causeway Flow.

• Chartered or working towards ICE chartership would be desirable.
