Learning Coach - Student SupportHourly Rate: £16 - £18Location: East LondonJob Type: PT (Monday to wednesday)We are seeking a compassionate and structured Learning Coach to provide consistent support for a neurodiverse student with Autism and significant social, emotional, and mental health needs. This role is crucial in creating a safe environment that enables the student to engage in learning while maintaining their wellbeing.Day-to-day of the role:Provide daily 1:1 support, ensuring the student feels safe, understood, and regulated throughout the Academy day.Build a trusting, respectful relationship that promotes emotional stability, confidence, and participation in learning.Work closely with the Academy''s SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead to follow all wellbeing, safety, and risk management procedures.Identify early signs of emotional distress and calmly seek support from safeguarding/mental health staff when needed.Support the student''s use of coping strategies as recommended by professionals in the Care Plan and Risk Assessment.Provide feedback (written report) to the SENCO and parent at the end of the day.Ensure the student is monitored at all times during the day.Required Skills and Qualifications:Understanding of autism, sensory needs, and mental health challenges in young people.Strong awareness of safeguarding duties and boundaries.Ability to stay composed and supportive during moments of anxiety or if the student becomes overwhelmed.Effective communicator w
