This is a small SEN college that caters for young adults with PMLD, Complex needs, ASD and Speech and Language difficulties. 110 - 120 per day, depending on experience35 hours per week, Term Time only8.30am to 4pm Monday to FridayUp to 120 per day for candidates with extensive experience or qualifications such as Teaching Assistant at NVQ Level 2 or aboveNot only will you gain invaluable first-hand experience in a secondary school environment, you will also have the opportunity to network with Speech and Language specialists and ELSA practitioners based at the school. This is also a great opportunity if you have considered a future in teaching or education.About the roleWorking in a mainstream secondary school that has a high number of pupils with SEND needsDeliver classroom support for Key Stage 3 pupils either 1:1 or groups of studentsUnderstand and support independent learning and inclusion of all students as requiredSupport the teaching in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progressMonitor and manage stock and supplies for the classroomSupervise students between lessons and when entering and leaving the schoolThe right candidateMaths and English GCSE grade A -C / 9-4 or equivalentExperience of working with young people, particularly those with SEND needs.Confident to converse with parents, students and members of the publicGood ICT skillsIf you are interested in this role, please apply
