A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our client law firm''s Finance Dept., based in Harpenden who are seeking a Senior Legal Cashier to join their friendly Team. Required qualifications, skills and expertise The successful candidate will be experienced as a Senior Legal Cashier and who has trained in the principles of bookkeeping, general accounting including good bank reconciliation knowledge. It is essential to have experience in SAR''s (Solicitors Accountancy Rules) and have a good working knowledge of legal accounting. Main responsibilities (to be revised from time to time) Banking functions including bank reconciliations; Dealing with petty cash including monthly reconciliation; Processing client and office accounting transactions including postings; Assisting in the sending of monies by electronic transfer using Barclays Banking system; Assisting with the control of designated client deposit accounts including monthly reconciliations; Processing new clients including ensuring AML procedures are followed and dealing with source of funds issues that arise. Advising fee earners on AML requirements in line with the Firms procedures and processing them through First AML, used for electronic ID, and checking; Managing the input of all Land Registry and Companies House fees; Checking bills before engrossment and sending to the client; Dealing with any daily accounts queries as may arise; Assisting the Finance Supervisor''s responsibilities on days off to ..... full job details .....
