ITS Field Service Technician 2

Overview
This role is responsible for providing maintenance and repair of client equipment on Cubic maintained assets, including complex fault diagnosis. Position also provides support to the Field Services Team Leader.Responsibilities
Carry out routine and preventative maintenanceAttend faults and ensure the use of a logical approach to fault finding.Perform Fibre Optic fault diagnosis and rectification.Provide detailed fault analysis on high priority and complex faults when required.Ensure all activities are performed safely and to a high standard.Ensure asset maintenance is reported in a timely and accurate manner.Ensure personal administration is completed in a timely manner, for example timesheets and vehicle checks.Provide support to the Maintenance Team LeaderTo act as a mentor to aid in the development of other service technicians.Perform Workshop repairs and modifications to component level and accurately record as required.Work to Cubic Safe Systems of Work guidelines, as required for contractual compliance.Attend and proactively participate in the Maintenance Team meetingsDeputise for the Team Leader, if required.Produce shift reports when required.Produce asset upgrade reports for ManagementAssist with the preparation of asset upgrades and project completion.Work in a shift patternComply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. In particular comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.Skills, knowledge and experience
Essential:Proven experience in similar role, including maintenance of equipmentBasic fibre optic experienceAbility to write accurate reportsHold relevant competencies to meet contractual requirements.Experience of maintenance on modern electronic equipment.PC literateFull Driving LicenceDesirable:IP systems working knowledge.Experience of overseeing teams.CCTV systems working knowledge.Microsoft Office skillsEducation and qualifications
Essential:Qualified to ONC or BTEC in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent qualification.Desirable:CandG 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualified.CandG 3667-02, units 102/103 Fibre optic cabling/testing or equivalent.Relevant accreditations.Safety related qualificationsNHSS8 accreditationHold G39Hold IPAF, ASLEC approved, NRSWA units 1 to 9 qualificationJob Details
