We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join the Senior Management Team and take responsibility for the financial management and control of the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, providing accurate management information and supporting the strategic direction of the company. You will play an important role in driving financial performance, managing risk and ensuring the finance department operates as an effective business partner to the wider organisation. Key responsibilities for the Financial Controller will include: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance department and leading the finance team. Producing accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports within agreed deadlines. Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Monitoring financial performance, analysing variances and reporting key findings to senior management. Maintaining robust financial controls, accounting policies and procedures. Managing cash flow, working capital, credit control and supplier payments. Overseeing payroll, insurance and HMRC reporting requirements. Managing relationships with banks, lenders and other financial partners. Coordinating the annual external audit process. Monitoring debt levels and ensuring compliance with financial covenants.
