As a Data Interface and Workflow Software Engineer you will work with a team of data and workflow experts to connect data at massive scale between critical forecast system components, to keep world-leading forecasts operational and lay the groundwork for future improvements.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Design, build, maintain and support specialised scientific software applications required to underpin science programmes.Develop software applications that meet the needs of the scientific community.Liaise with scientific colleagues in order to understand their requirements for specialised scientific software solutions.Maintain, document and support software applications so as to facilitate their maximum utilisation and longevity.Adhere to and contribute to the improvement of software engineering procedures and standards in order to ensure delivered software solutions meet desired quality criteria.Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues in order to enhance overall team or group effectiveness.
