A well-established metalwork fabrication facility is recruiting a hands-on Factory Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations. You''ll plan and oversee sheet metal fabrication jobs from start to finish, ensuring labour, materials and machinery are scheduled effectively to meet deadlines, while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity and Health and Safety. Key Responsibilities:Plan and schedule sheet metal fabrication work (people, materials, machines and deliveries).Manage jobs end-to-end to hit deadlines and maximise productivity.Read technical drawings/specs; oversee drafter sign-off and QC.Track KPIs and report performance, risks and improvements.Lead and develop a team of 5-8; manage training and performance.Own HandS (risk assessments, toolbox talks, inspections, investigations).Manage budget, suppliers and equipment maintenance.Produce simple quotations and advise on capacity/lead times.
