KES Solutions is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Peterlee. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and have practical, hands-on engineering experience gained within a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment. You will have experience working with machinery, using hand and power tools, and carrying out maintenance, repairs or fault finding on equipment. You will receive an annual salary of £38,000 (rising to £42,000 once fully trained) and will work a 2 shift rotating pattern; Monday to Friday 6.00 am to 2.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm. The Role As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring plant machinery and equipment are maintained to a high standard, helping to minimise downtime and support efficient production. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment. Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs. Carry out maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, control systems and associated equipment. Identify and resolve breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
