We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to work on a permanent basis in Wigan. Salary is c 26-28,000 per annum plus holidays, pension etc. The successful candidate will have previous payroll experience and be comfortable working with financial information, spreadsheets and administrative processes. You will work closely with the wider finance team and provide additional payroll cover when required. Key Responsibilities for the Payroll/Accounts Assistant: Supporting the finance team with a range of day-to-day accounting and administrative duties. Recording and reconciling daily financial transactions and ensuring records are maintained accurately. Processing and checking banking information, including investigating any discrepancies. Preparing financial information for entry into the company''s accounting system. Managing the ordering and administration of operational cash/coin requirements where necessary. Maintaining accurate records of company assets and assisting with the processing of fixed asset additions. Providing support with month-end activities, including financial reports, reconciliations and general finance procedures. Assisting with the processing of weekly payroll on a scheduled basis, providing additional cover during periods of annual leave. Responding to general finance-related queries and emails.
