We are working with a leading, fast-growing events agency in South West London to recruit a
Technical Production Manager . This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering high-profile live events in the UK and internationally.
As
Technical Production Manager , you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end technical delivery of client events, ensuring excellence across sound, lighting, video, set construction and rigging. You’ll be client-facing, confident managing multiple stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Lead on all technical aspects of event delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Act as the main point of contact for technical requirements, liaising directly with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Produce and interpret CAD drawings, floor plans and technical specifications.
Oversee the installation, operation, and de-rig of all technical equipment on-site.
Manage multi-currency budgets effectively and accurately.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety best practices and industry regulations.
Support the wider team with technical expertise, mentoring junior staff where required.
Travel nationally and internationally for site visits, inspections, and live event delivery.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a
similar role within an event agency
or technical event production environment.
Strong knowledge across
all technical disciplines : sound, lighting, video, set construction, and rigging.
Excellent working knowledge of
CAD software
(with the ability to draft plans).
Strong understanding of audio-visual options and capabilities.
Familiarity with
PROCIM, Google Docs, and Salesforce
(desirable).
Exceptional
organisation, prioritisation, and project management skills .
Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound knowledge of
Health and Safety regulations .
Proven track record managing
complex, multi-currency budgets .
A proactive team player with tenacity around processes and best practices.
Flexibility to travel and work internationally when required.
Must have the
right to work in the UK .
