An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist - Eating Disorders to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Bromley, Kent area. You will be working for one of UK''s leading healthcare providers. One of the leading private hospitals treating addictions and general psychiatric conditions, as well as having an accredited eating disorder service.To be considered for this position you must hold full GMC registration, be on the Specialist Register with a CCT or CESR in General Adult Psychiatry or Eating Disorders, and possess Approved Clinician statusResponsibilities
You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patientsServe as Consultant and Responsible Clinician, leading patient care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration across inpatient and outpatient settingsAssess and manage complex cases, chair MDT/CPA meetings, and liaise with patients, families, and external stakeholdersProvide clinical leadership alongside the Ward Manager, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standardsContribute to governance and quality improvement through active participation in ward, CAMHS, and service development meetingsEngage in academic activities including teaching, case presentations, audit, research, and ongoing professional developmentPreferred skills and experience
Good team player and keen to participate in a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, formulation and management plansCommunication and interpersonal skills are criticalBe innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisionsHave essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental healthSalary and benefits
The successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary of £170,000 - £180,000 pro rata. This exciting position is a permanent part time role working 30 hours a week.
