Mechanical Fitter Hours: Monday to Thursday from 07:30 - 16:30 and Friday 07:30- 14:00Salary - £14.42 per hour.Location: Stroud About the RoleYou ll be responsible for building and fitting mechanical and electrical assemblies from start to finish, working from engineering drawings and instructions. This is a varied and practical role that requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic componentsWork on sub-assemblies and full product builds from scratchUse hand and power tools for tasks such as cutting, folding, marking out, pipe bending and general fabricationCarry out quality checks to ensure assemblies meet alignment, dimensions, and quality standardsFollow Health and Safety procedures at all times, taking responsibility for your own safety and othersCarry out other reasonable duties as required by the companyWhat We re Looking ForA solid engineering backgroundAble to read and work from manufacturing and assembly drawingsGood attention to detail and a strong team playerConfident using a range of hand and power toolsProblem-solver with the ability to work on your own initiativeSome experience or knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systemsPrevious experience in vehicle fitting/fabrication is a bonusBackground in Aviation, Military, Marine or similar sectors is an advantageAbility to read basic electrical schemati
