Mechanical Fitter

Yellow Rail are seeking wagon maintainer/fitter at our site in Shepton Mallet, by maintaining wagons for the biggest wagon owner in Europe, at the largest wagon site in the UK. Helping to deliver a quality maintenance service to our customer. Job description The successful applicant will be become part of a team of freight wagon maintainers/fitters undertaking maintenance activities on various types of freight wagons, to a set of maintenance instructions in line with quality procedures and health and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Assessing condition of the wagons Undertaking planned maintenance activities Carrying out heavy maintenance and repair work Up keep of housekeeping, tooling and materials Working to a high level of QHSE standards Person Specification Must Haves: Experience in a mechanical environment, motor mechanics or train maintenance. Works well individually and as part of a team Attention to detail and accuracy and take pride in delivering a quality installation.
