Manpower is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join a well-established and prestigious College in Oxford City Centre on a Permanent basis. Salary Offered is 33000pa and expectations to be on call for out of hour duties on a rota basis. Please note a Full UK Driving Licence is needed Closing date for applications is 22nd November 2026 About the Role This is a hands-on maintenance position supporting the day-to-day upkeep, repair and compliance of a large and busy estate. The successful candidate will carry out a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and general maintenance duties. This role would suit someone with previous building maintenance experience who is practical, reliable, customer-focused and comfortable working in a varied environment where no two days are the same. Please note: This is not purely a facilities inspection role. Alongside planned maintenance activities, the successful candidate must be willing to undertake less desirable tasks when required, including: Unblocking toilets Clearing and maintaining drains General reactive maintenance issues Manual handling and movement of furniture/equipment Routine water hygiene flushing checks (carried out every Wednesday alongside the wider maintenance team) Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance works across the estate Complete routine compliance inspections including water hygiene, emergency lighting and fire ..... full job details .....
